Brunson-Lee Director - David Allison

David heard about Camp Hubbard when his son attended the Teen Leadership camp in 2018. Education, fitness and community seem to define David’s personal and professional life. After running D1 cross country and track and field at the University of Pennsylvania, he graduated with a B.A. in English Literature, then moved to Europe and taught ESL in the Czech Republic for nearly two years. After returning home, David taught middle school and high school English in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. David left teaching in 2002 and pursued some entrepreneurial interests, attempted to make the 2008 U.S. Men’s Olympic Marathon Trials and then began working for various organizations in marketing for 12 years. In 2019, David decided to return to his first professional passion, education, and this fall will be working as a high school English teacher at the American Leadership Academy in Gilbert, as well as being their head Cross Country Coach. David has over 20 years of running coaching experience. He is the co-founder and co-head coach of Phoenix Flyers Track club. Beyond his running expertise, David has also coached middle school and youth basketball, flag football, and soccer teams over the past 15 years. David and his lovely wife, Zoraida, of 21 years moved to Phoenix in 2005. They have two amazing and active kids, Isabella and Charlie.
